Punta Cana

April 2013

Ah Punta Cana.. The place that’s always stocked with Ron Barcelo rum and MamaJuana!

This was my first time in the Dominican Republic and I enjoyed it! The food was delicious, the weather was incredible, the party life is great, and the beach was nice. The beach is so long you can walk for hours. The only downside is the beach often smells like eggs or sewage.. It’s odd. The activities on the beach make up for it though!

If you like to party, you HAVE to go to “Imagine Nightclub”. Most unique and coolest clubbing experience I’ve had! It’s basically a nightclub inside of a cave. There are several rooms throughout the club and each room plays its own type of music. One is EDM, another is top 40, another was throwbacks, etc.. If you stay at an all inclusive you can book a package with the activities staff and choose between open bar or 2 drinks included. In my opinion, even if you’re not really into clubbing, this place is worth seeing.

We also went on a Catamaran tour and sailed to Saona Island. It’s a beautiful island with long sand banks. Our lunch was served on the beach and it was delicious. I actually found a Conch shell sitting beside a tree; I was so excited! I still have it to this day.

For accommodations, we stayed at the Grand Palladium Resort & Spa. I loved this place! People were so nice and there were always activities going on around the pool areas. The rooms were very nice, the food was great and the pools were incredible.

If you have any questions about Punta Cana don’t hesitate to ask! 🙂
